While choosing a ketubah can seem daunting, I promise I have your back every step of the way. I’m here to demystify ketubah shopping for you with just a few steps. Let's go!
Step 1: Choose Your Art

Choose 2: Select Your Ketubah Text

A ketubah is a beautiful union of art and text. While traditional the Orthodox kosher ketubah text is an option you can choose, many couples prefer a modern approach, using the ketubah to express their values and future plans together You can browse all the available ketubah texts here.
If you want to learn more about the most common texts of Jewish Denominations, you can read up on the Reform Ketubah, Orthodox Ketubah, and Conservative Ketubah, known as the Conservative text with Lieberman Clause. I also offer some very beautiful Interfaith Ketubah Text options. Be sure to consult your officiant or rabbi to ensure the chosen text meets any specific requirements they may have.
Step 3: Decide on Filled or Blank Text
You have the choice of ordering a ketubah with blank spaces to be filled in later (for your names, wedding date, and other details), or having us complete the text for you. Opting for the filled-in option ensures consistent typography and eliminates the risk of any mistakes or bad handwriting on your beautiful ketubah. This add-on costs $65 and you can select it under the “Personalize” tab in the ketubah listing. If you choose this option, I'll provide a digital proof for you and your rabbi's approval before finalizing the ketubah. If you prefer a blank ketubah, check and make sure that your rabbi or officiant is comfortable filling it in both Hebrew and English.
You can learn more about the two options and see samples of both here. If you decide to have us fill in your ketubah, you’ll fill out a ketubah customization form which will give me all the information I need to fill in your text. You can do that right at check out, or later. You’ll get a link to the customization form in your receipt email so you can take your time gathering the information we will need.
Step 4: Determine Your Ketubah Size
Consider the size that suits your preferences and budget. Do you want your ketubah to be a centerpiece in your home or do you want it to fit in a tight space? Most popular ketubah sizes are 16 x 20 inches or 20 x 24 inches for hand-painted ketubahs. You can select the size from the available options under the “Ketubah Size” dropdown in the product listing. Remember, the size will affect the price, so take that into account when making your decision.
Step 5: Add a Touch of Gold Leaf (Optional)

Enhance your ketubah art with the exquisite beauty of gold leaf. This shimmering addition adds a touch of elegance and a hand-painted element to the design. You can check out samples of gold leaf accents and select this option before checking out.
Step 6: Consider Mini Replicas (Optional)
To show appreciation to loved ones, consider ordering mini replicas of your ketubah. These make thoughtful gifts for parents, in-laws, and special loved ones involved in your relationship. You can choose this option before checking out too. Please note that mini replicas do not include gold leaf.
Step 7: Place Your Order
