A Very Sparkly Tallit for Las Vegas's first Rabbi-Cantor!
Rabbi Cantor Hutchings and I first crossed paths when she ordered a baby naming certificate when her son was born years ago. Little did I know that she would become one of those special clients that I get to work with over and over again.
Our paths crossed once again when she came as a visitor to my home synagogue in Beverly Hills. It turns out, she was best friends with my cantor. Small Jewish world strikes again!Â
Cantor Jessica, who was already the head cantor at Congregation Ner Tamid, was also in school to become a rabbi! Last year, she was ordained as Las Vegas's very first Rabbi-Cantor. How incredible is that?Â
Mazel Tov Rabbi-Cantor Jessica Hutchings!Â

Her custom tallit was a gift commissioned by her sister. She asked that we make it as glittery and sparkly as possible, and add a special quote and the date of her ordination as well. Challenge accepted! We embellished her one-of-a-kind stained-glass style tallit with sequins and glitter.
 Check out that sparkle:Â
And if you want to get choked up, check out Rabbi-Cantor Jessica performing Refuah Shlema (blessing for healing) to the tune of Imagine by The Beatles:
Won't you join me in wishing Rabbi-Cantor Jessica Hutchings a huge Kol Kakavod, Yasher Koach, and Mazel Tov!
